Ok so, years ago I was at cross roads with my career. After having just survived 6 years in the IT industry as a programmer/business analyst I decided that enough was enough.
So, I parted ways with the job that would make the company I was working for rich and tried everything, from office administrator to bar tender/waiter, from street sales associate to receptionist and you know what, whilst all these jobs provided me with an average income, they also made me work like a dog and they just didn't get me excited.
Then one day a mate of mine told me about this eBay business that was doing really well for him. Great, I had to have a go. I started selling products on eBay, however I was still doing a lot of work, dealing with shipping, customer complaints, fees, etc, etc.
A few months later, I stumbled upon Affiliate marketing. I did my research and found some guru's that actually practiced what they preached, and where successful from it. Funnily enough, this one guru in particular was also part of Wealthy Affiliate, so it was from there that my Internet marketing career was born.
Now, this is what got me so excited about affiliate marketing... it provided me with recurring income from work that I'd done in the past. Like on auto-pilot, just set up and forget it. Great, I had to give it a shot.
So, I joined the Wealthy Affiliate University program, followed exactly what they layed out for me with their action plans, built some campaigns, and guess what I wasn't making millions, but I was profiting.
To this day I work part time hours working on various affiliate marketing campaigns (including this one) that are like my virtual houses. They provide me recurring income for life. The work I've done, and still currently doing allow me to do more of the things I love, such as travelling, going out and spending more time with my family and friends.
Yes, I do enjoy a regular income working from the comfort of my own home, using just the Internet, a computer and some learned knowledge that anyone, including you can learn. The question is, do you want the same?
