Aweber Vs GetResponse

Posted by admin

ss aweber Aweber Vs GetResponseAweber Vs GetResponse? It seems that the two biggest email marketing companies today are going head to head with features and benefits, but which one is really better to hold all you email contacts? I've joint both in my marketing career and in this review I'll compare GetResponse with Aweber and tell you why I chose one of them over the others, so that you can make an informed decision.

Pricing

We all want a good deal and when it comes to choosing an email marketing company many of us (including me) will choose a product because of it's affordability. That said the pricing structures of both companies are similar, with only a matter of a few dollar cheaper for the GetResponse service, depending on your subscriber level. Both services have prepaid options where you can pay for up to a year and get a considerable discount on the monthly charges. For a little extra GetResponse also has the add-on feature such as Email-to-Speech and Video email which allows your readers to listen to their email and add interactive video to increase customer sales.

Aweber offers a 1 month trial for just $1, whilst with GetResponse you can get started for free with a subscriber list of up to 10 people. Below is a comparison table of their prices as of May 2010. Please note that this is only the monthly rates for both (prepaid options will amount to less) and taxes may also apply.

Features

As for features well they both offer the standard email marketing features, such as unlimited email newsletters, pretty Sign up forms for your websites (where the code is already created for you), automated autoresponder messages, unlimited campaigns, email templates and excellent delivery rates. I did note that when with Aweber I had more designs and options when it came to creating sign-up forms for my websites, however since GetResponse has upgraded their platform they're working on giving more designs and flexibility when it comes to web forms for your websites.

GetResponse seems to have a 300+ fancy email templates as opposed to 135 from Aweber. Most people using email marketing will generally only use a text based email, however if you want to make your newsletters more attractive then it may be worth GetResponse as you'll have less chance of using the same template that someone else has.

When it comes to extra features then GetResponse seems to have advantage here as it includes such things as Social media intergration and iPhone Application interface where you can use it from anywhere in the world. Other features that Aweber is missing is Email to speech to engage listeners rather then readers, plus a useful tool, known as Online surveys to get more interaction and feedback from you subscribers.

Help & Customer Service

When it comes to help, instructions on usage and customer service, really both services offer great standards. Plenty of help documentation, video tutorials and regular webinars are offered by both GetResponse and Aweber. Both also publish regular blog newsletter to keep you up to date with tips and program updates. What I really liked with GetResponse however is that they offered you a free course on how to get the best out of your email marketing campaigns.

Aweber has slightly better support offered with a Toll Free contact number available in the US and also Live Chat during specific hours. In my experience people rarely ring Internet companies for support, they usually email, but even GetResponse offers phone numbers in both the US and the UK if really needed.

ss getresponse Aweber Vs GetResponseThe Verdict

Sometimes it's hard to find a winner out of two really reputable companies and this is certainly one of those times. Aweber has probably the most popular email marketing companies around for years now, and it start to face some stiff competition from a multitude of up and comers. Having used both Aweber and GetResponse however, I believe the extra features that you get from GetResponse is reason enough to sign up with them. Admitadly you probably won't use many of the added features that GetResponse offers, but non the less they're there if you ever needed them, and you're actually paying slightly less for the service as well.

I have done my research of other forums/reviews and noticed that there are very even performance reviews when it came to the battle of GetResponse vs Aweber, as both offer an extremely high quality platform. In the end though, even I switched from Aweber to GetResponse, because it was a newer player and therefore it had offered me more features and benefits all for a cheaper monthy cost.

Wealthy Affiliate Rip Off

645x60 Wealthy Affiliate Rip Off

Have you heard of the Wealthy Affiliate rip off?? WHAT? Rip off and now they're even going to increase their membership costs. And the inside news is that it's going to increase significantly. But just how much by?

Here is Kyle's (co-creator of WA) thoughts on why a price increase is necessary.

From the outside it appears that those we are serving macaroni and cheese, heated up in the microwave, when in fact we are actually offering on the inside is a nice Lobster Ravioli from an acclaimed Italian restaurant.

It really doesn't make sense and the more we thought about it and the more we heard "you are too cheap" or "you can't really offer what you say you do for $39", the more a price increase weighed on our minds.

So, is that a bad thing? Well, no because compared to some other Internet Marketing products out there (I won't mention names), Wealthy Affiliate is still one of the most affordable "universities" around. Less established Internet marketing communities are charging up to $97 (and beyond) for service that are most like justifiable if people just take action.

However, the Wealthy Affiliate membership has bee around for a good 5 years now, and is proven to be helpful by over 10,000 members that have joined and used their resources to start producing and income online or even kill their day job by becoming a full time, work at home business.

action plan logo Wealthy Affiliate Rip OffI have no doubt that when the Wealthy Affiliate upgrade takes place that it will provide a much more comprehensive, system that is currently in place. That's not to say that it's already not enough. It really is an overwhelming amount of information, action plans and day to day people just like you helping each other out in making their first buck online (and then some).

Forget about the Wealthy Affiliate rip off, because compared to other resources out their (which are garbage anyway). The Wealthy affiliate offer is a steal. The owners Kyle and Carson plan on increasing the price significantly from the start of June 2010. So, if you've ever been thinking to join, then now would be the time to lock in one of the lowest Wealthy Affiliate membership prices that you'll ever get offered again.
